Our Recent Visit to Lululemon

lululemonyogaThey make our booties look good, and our tatas stay upright, but what we love most about Lululemon is how they expand way beyond just a clothing store. Recently we had the opportunity to visit the brand new Lululemon at the Prudential Center and sit down with Caitlyn McGuire, a community educator.

The new space allows for not only endless arrays of beautifully displayed workout gear, but for the Boston community to feel at home in the space. It features decor unique to Boston, and highlights all of the locally owned studios and restaurants that are favorites of the stores employees and customers. “There are so many Lulu’s out there, but we are very much our own store.”

It’s not one size fits all. Whether someone is just going to the gym, or running a marathon, making them feel like that matters and hear their feedback is what we strive for. We focus on the physical health here, but also mental health,” said Caitlyn McGuire.

Lululemon supports self-confidence and each individual’s own story, making those leggings, more than just a pair of pants.

During our visit we took one of their free weekly community classes with that weekends featured instructor, Rupa Metha. Rupa, founded of the well-loved New York City based Nalini Method.took us through her Energy Workout. Twenty-five minutes of intense leg pulsing and planking later, the workout was over. Not only did it fly by, but it worked. Each workout in the Nalini Method combines the emotional and physical components of exercise, to produce a holistic and authentic approach to working out based on your own individual mood.

We highly recommend visiting your local Lululemon if you’re in the need for some workout clothes, a free workout class, and most of all inner confidence.
