I really wanted to look put together today…
But then life happened. Two midterms and a busy work week to be more precise. This translated into a wash and go hair style, virtually no makeup (I’d be lying if I said I didn’t have any tinted moisturizer, concealer, and eyebrow pomade on), and an outfit comfortable and wrinkle friendly enough for a long a day in the library. Oh, and a giant bag of course. Although, to be real with you guys there are three more bags hanging outside of this frame…I’m literally the bag lady. Camera bag, laptop bag, tote bag, lunch bag…I can’t keep up (and neither can my shoulders).
Anyway, the moral of the story is that there’s this new hot, haute, whatever you want to call it, trend sweeping the fashion world called model off duty style. And it’s the best thing to happen to busy/lazy ladies since tinted moisturizer. It’s a super simple style recipe that literally calls for a whole lot of disheveled-ness, comfy basics, and a pinch of edgyness. It’s the perfect way to look like you put effort into crafting the perfect casual cool look without much effort at all.
The Model Off Duty Style Recipe:
calls for:
Skinny or Boyfriend Jeans
Funky Sweats
A V-Neck Tee
Ankle Boots
Edgy Accessories
(a la leather jacket, statement or dainty layering necklaces, sunglasses, and bag)
OR you can be ultra lazy like me and opt for a one piece.
This jumpsuit takes all the guesswork out of getting dressed in a pinch.

And if you’re wondering whether or not you can pull this off, “because you’re not a model,”let me remind you to go strut down that runway called life.
