Lately,
I’ve been indulging in quite a bit of Downtown Abbey. Is anyone else obsessed with Lady Mary? I blame it on the sniffles, Juno, Linus, and most of all those beautiful period fashions. I’ve never thought of myself as a history buff but I get lost in those adorable hats, the gorgeous beading, and those gloves! Besides the clothing the story is wonderfully written and on a day like today where the snow is swirling around my window I can’t help but escape into that magical world.
I had to pay homage to the snow and timeless classics so I thought I’d share my favorite statement jacket with all of you. I am loving this J Crew coat at the moment. I “borrowed” it from my mom’s closet and I just can’t get enough of it. I love this classic cut and deep purple hue and those gold details add just the right amount of visual interest to any outfit. Plus I love wearing the collar up for extra warmth with a bouncy ponytail for a classic but flirty look.
A Classic Winter Recipe:
Coat: J Crew (Same Style in Different Colors)
Jeans: Levis
Rings: Asos (Similar)
Shoes: Aldo
Bag: Coach
Necklace: Bauble Bar
Hair Tie: American Jewel
Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Fuschia Fusion
Now if you’ll excuse me it’s tea time, or should I say Starbucks hot chocolate (with extra whipped cream) time?
