I bring to you the long awaited before & after segment – featuring none other than my beautiful mom and my little sister, Camilla. This post has been in the works for quite some time and I’m so excited I finally get to share this transformation with you. I really wanted to post some more embarrassing before photos circa 1993 but I couldn’t risk being disowned.. you know how it goes.
So this mini photoshoot is from a wedding my mom attended a few months ago and it marks the beginning of many fashion firsts for my mother.
First, although not a first my mom lives in yoga pants so seeing her in a dress is a win.
Secondly, and this is a true FIRST my mom never (and I am not exaggerating when I say this) never bares her legs. So getting her into a mini dress without black tights was a mission (like James Bond style). She fought me hard on this one but in the end she looked amazing with her supermodel gams (GO MOM) ;).
This is also the first time my mom has let me photograph her for the blog and she was very apprehensive about being in front of the camera. But as Hannah and I tell all of our family, friends, and image consulting clients it just takes a little getting used to. My first appearances on the blog were not shall we say ‘quite as polished.’ I am happy to say she was an amazing model and I think her photos turned out great!
In sum, I salute all of you hot moms out there and encourage you to take time for yourself where you can get dolled up, shed those insecurities, and just feel beautiful!
