I’m in absolute awe of nature’s beauty. It doesn’t have to try… it’s just perfect the way it is. It’s a type of beauty that is effortless. Last weekend my friend Sarah and I went to the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens in Boothbay, Maine. I was astounded by how simple and wonderful an afternoon spent among flowers is. I had gone once before with my mom, but had forgotten how truly therapeutic the walk through the whole park was. My favorite was the children’s garden and rose garden. It was truly magical. It reminded me of how sometimes you just need to remove yourself from the busy pace of daily life and take the time to breath the air outdoors and appreciate nature. It’s easy to get caught up in the woes of work and family/friend issues, but it’s important to remember the bigger picture and smile at the fact that beauty is all around you.

This weekend I packed up my things and got on a plane and moved to NYC. Tomorrow I start my very first day at Tommy Hilfiger. It’s surreal, but I’m one step closer to following my dreams. I’m nervous for all the new experiences and for what is to come, but deep down I know this is what I was meant to do next. I’ve already been so inspired and I’ve only been in the city two days. Who knows what three months will do for me.

I know this post is short and sweet, but I have to get some rest before the big day. I’m wishing you all success in your endeavors.
