As the years have progressed my shopping habits have completely changed and so has my overall style. A valuable lesson I’ve learned over time, that I’m eager to share with you all, is the importance of buying staple pieces. What could be the benefit of this? First off, you will spend less money in the long run. Which is always a wonderful thing! Also, you will be more thoughtful about what you dress yourself in.
Some items that are classic staples are the chambray shirt, white jeans, and birks. I wore them all together in this outfit, but they can be worn with so many other pieces and have endless possible outfit combinations. For instance, the same white jeans could be work with a graphic tee, oversized flannel, and suede booties for a cute fall look. That, or the chambray shirt can be worn with a neon midi, over a floral dress, or with leggings and flats.
I wanted to savor these last warm days of September going into October by wearing my birks a few more times. The pair I’m wearing I’ve actually had for six years!! Investment pieces like that are so worth it because you will definitely get wear out of it. Speaking of investment pieces.. dun dun duuuuuun… I may have..*pause*..wait well yes I did.. buy my first Louis Vuitton. I knew I would use it forever and it would always be iconic.
What types of things do you invest in?
LOVE,
